Seamus Dooley is the Managing Director of JS Dooley Contracting Ltd with a career in the industry spanning almost 25 years. Seamus is responsible of the strategic direction, growth and development of the overall company.
Prior to setting up JS Dooley Contracting Ltd, Seamus was a Contracts Director for a leading Construction company with a career of almost 15 years, starting out as a Graduate Engineer and working his way up to Contracts Director. The company achieved significant growth during Seamus tenure where he played a leading role in that development.

Eddie Conroy is the Commercial Director for JS Dooley Contracting Ltd, Eddie is a qualified Chartered Quantity Surveyor with over 13 years’ experience in the construction industry. Eddie has worked in Australia and Ireland and has gained significant experience in both private practice and main contracting organisations.
Eddie has gained a broad range of experience in sectors such as Mixed-Use Commercial, Retail, Oil and Gas, Sport and Healthcare. He has obtained valuable experience on the client side having worked in a private practice for seven years which helps better appreciate client needs and working relationship with design teams.
Eddie is hands on commercial manager and oversees the estimating and quantity surveying department of the company. He has developed a detailed and user-friendly estimating and cost monitoring system within the company. Eddies provides opportunities for employees to develop through supervisor and peer coaching
Eddie joined JSD as a Senior Quantity Surveyor in 2015 and was appointed Commercial Director in 2017.
Colm Kennedy is a contracts manager with over 15 years’ experience in the construction industry. After graduating with an honours degree in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering in 2004, Colm commenced employment with a mid-tier main contractor as a site engineer. Over the following years, Colm progressed from site engineer to site manager and, finally, into his current role as a contracts manager.
Colm has furthered his education over the intervening period by obtaining a postgraduate diploma in Project Management from TCD in 2015 and certificates in Managing Safely in Construction, PSCS and Occupational First Aid.
Colm has worked on a wide range of construction projects in many different sectors including Commercial, Retail, Residential, Industrial, Community, Hotel and Leisure, Healthcare and Pharmaceutical, Fit Out and Refurbishment, Conservation and Heritage and Energy Services
Colm is responsible for the management and delivery of our construction projects. The experience gained from previously occupying the site based positions earlier in his career give Colm a distinct advantage when it comes to managing the site teams and programming/scheduling of the construction works.
Colm joined JSD in as Contracts Manager in 2017 and was appointed Contracts Director in the same year.
Maria Whelan is an Accountant and Tax Adviser with over 30 years’ experience in the construction industry. During her career history Maria has held Senior Management and Directorship positions in some large Construction and Construction related companies. She has also operated in a consultancy capacity to assist other companies.
Maria has been involved in all financial aspects of the companies that she worked with and was also responsible for the introduction and maintenance of well designed management systems and procedures.
Maria is responsible for the financial and administrative requirements of JSD. Maria has worked with JSD since 2009 and was appointed Finance Director and Secretary in 2017.
